MyKindofColor ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website mykindofcolor.com and the MyKindofColor mobile application (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

• Account Information: Accounts are optional and part of our paid subscription. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
• Saved Data: If you have an account, the palettes and art supplies you save are stored in your account so they can sync between the app and the website.
• Freebie Requests: If you request a free download on our website, we collect your email address and store it in Google Firebase. We use it to send you the freebie you asked for. We will not add you to marketing emails without your permission.
• Contact Information: If you email us, we collect your email address and the content of your message.

Information Stored Only on Your Device

In the mobile app, if you do not have an account, your saved palettes, your supply stash, and your free monthly usage count are stored only on your device. This information is never sent to us. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it.

Information Collected Automatically

• Website Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on our website to understand how visitors use it. This collects usage data such as pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate geographic location. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• App Analytics: The mobile app does not currently use analytics. If we add analytics to the app, we will update this policy before doing so.
• Log Data: Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, and referring pages.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Save and sync your palettes and art supplies if you have an account
• Manage your subscription
• Send you a freebie you requested
• Understand how people use our website so we can improve it
• Respond to your questions or feedback
• Detect and prevent abuse of the Service, including prohibited content

3. Payments

Subscriptions bought in the app are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions bought on our website are processed by Stripe. These providers handle your payment details. We never see or store your card number. We receive only the information needed to know whether your subscription is active.

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): For user accounts, saved data, and freebie requests. Firebase's privacy policy is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
• Google Cloud: For checking photos uploaded on our website for prohibited content. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics 4: For website analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel: For website hosting. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store, Google Play, and Stripe: For processing subscription payments, under their own privacy policies.
• Amazon Associates and Altenew: Our website and blog include affiliate links to Amazon.com and Altenew. When you click one, you go to their site, which has its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. We do not receive any personal information about your purchases. The mobile app contains no affiliate links.

Account data (email, saved palettes, saved supplies) and freebie request emails are stored in Google Firebase / Firestore with security rules that restrict access. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We use cookies on our website for the following purposes:

• Authentication: To keep you logged in to your account.
• Analytics: Google Analytics uses cookies to collect usage data about our website.

Affiliate partners (Amazon and Altenew) may set their own cookies when you click a link to their sites. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Service (such as staying logged in) may not work properly.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data: View your saved palettes and supplies in the app or in your account.
• Delete your data: Delete individual palettes and supplies, delete your account from within the app, or contact us to delete your account. Data stored only on your device is deleted when you delete the app.
• Opt out of analytics: Use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or disable cookies in your browser.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you may have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Freebie request emails are kept until you ask us to delete them. Website analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
